NEW YORK ,Idaho resident Kathy Evans brought humiliation to her friends and family Tuesday when she set a new standard for stupidity with her appearance on the popular TV show, 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.'



It seems that Evans, a 32-year-old wife and mother of two, got stuck on the first question, and proceeded to make what fans of the show are dubbing 'the absolute worst use of lifelines ever.'

After being introduced to the show's host Meredith Vieira, Evans assured her that she was ready to play, whereupon she was posed with an extremely easy $100 question. The question was: 'Which of the following is the largest?'

A) A Peanut
B) An Elephant
C) The Moon
D) Hey, who you calling large?

Immediately Mrs. Evans was struck with an all consuming panic as she realized that this was a question to which she did not readily know the answer.
'Hmm, oh boy, that's a toughie,' said Evans, as Vieira did her level best to hide her disbelief and disgust. 'I mean, I'm sure I've heard of some of these things before, but I have no idea how large they would be.'
Evans made the decision to use the first of her three lifelines, the 50/50. Answers A and D were removed, leaving her to decide which was bigger, an elephant or the moon. However, faced with an incredibly easy question, Evans still remained unsure.
'Oh! It removed the two I was leaning towards!' exclaimed Evans. 'Darn. I think I better phone a friend.'
Using the second of her two lifelines on the first question, Mrs. Evans asked to be connected with her friend Betsy, who is an office assistant.
'Hi Betsy! How are you? This is Kathy! I'm on TV!' said Evans, wasting the first seven seconds of her call. 'Ok, I got an important question. Which of the following is the largest? B, an elephant, or C, the moon. 15 seconds hun.'
Betsy quickly replied that the answer was C, the moon. Evans proceeded to argue with her friend for the remaining ten seconds.
'Come on Betsy, are you sure?' said Evans. 'How sure are you? Duh, that can't be it.'
To everyone's astonishment, the moronic Evans declined to take her friend's advice and pick 'The Moon.'
'I just don't know if I can trust Betsy. She's not all that bright. So I think I'd like to ask the audience,' said Evans.
Asked to vote on the correct answer, the audience returned 98% in favor of answer C, 'The Moon.' Having used up all her lifelines, Evans then made the dumbest choice of her life.
'Wow, seems like everybody is against what I'm thinking,' said the too-stupid-to- live Evans. 'But you know, sometimes you just got to go with your gut. So, let's see. For which is larger, an elephant or the moon, I'm going to have to go with B, an elephant. Final answer.' Evans sat before the dumbfounded audience, the only one waiting with bated breath, and was told that she was wrong, and that the answer was in fact, C, 'The Moon.'

Ahh.. apparently she think she is so smart and her friend is 'not' so bright!

BLING MY PSP -PART 2

This is a very 'girly' post, so guys skip this unless

I did removed all the crystal off eventually

And redo everything, luckily i can re-use all the crystals

if not it will be such a waste

as its not very cheap to throw off a few hundreds of them.

This is my 2nd design

decided not to do the circular one as i couldnt come out with a perfect circle.

Its not even done yet as i just started.

Those coloured crystals on the top left are just placement

they are not stick on yet.

Now, see all the glue stain?

Im too generous with the glue on my last attempt

hence alot of ugly glue stains

I did try to rub it off with eraser, it works

but im lazy... so i decided to just make do

as the stains will be covered by crystals later on.

Magic Pick for picking up the small crystal 1 by 1

I found a better way of sticking the crystal.
Instead of smearing Glue all over, like what i did previous
end up with ugly stains

Use the magic pick, pick the crystal up 1 by 1, and apply glue
directly on the back before sticking it.

Use a paper clip as applicator.

stick the crystal on the clip and slide it off onto the psp.
Its less messy and faster

WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING?

For the past few months, i been asking myself this..
What the hell have i been doing....
literally i been dragging myself out of bed every morning, and drag myself to work ...

Especially since i wasnt feeling too well since last month.
I feel so ... hmmm so ..... I really dont know.

I just seems to realise all of a sudden.
I have lost my direction in Life.
I have lost the focus which im suppose to have.
I have lost all motivation and desire.

I just wake up being blur every morning, and go to bed even blurr
I no longer knows what im doing... just passing each day by each day
I hate myself in this state.. which i seriously cannot comprehend what went wrong?!
I even start to question myself.. why am i doing the same thing day in day out..

So tired... I just want to rest.
Not a short holiday.... it just I wan to really NUAR at home doing nothing for a
while.
Maybe I feel get better from my IBS, which is triggered by stress
maybe i would feel more refreshed and focus, like what Ying suggest.
Maybe i should just not work and stay at home... but what am i doing to do at home?


Or am I getting OLD... TOO OLD
that i start to forget things... at an alarming speed
Like what Wick has suggested, get a voice recorder...
but seriously.. i think i would have forgotten to make a voice recording
or lost the recorder.

Luckily my boss is kind enough, ask me to take a long leave to rest and take care
of my health.

But boss.. (Im know you are reading this)
5 days of offdays including weekend is consider LONG LEAVE meh??
I thought LONG LEAVE is minimum 2 weeks off??
hmm ..................maybe i should have get dengue fever or chicken pox
MC for 2 weeks!

I seriously need some motivation and directions in LIFE
Sometimes i just wished i can disappear for a while...

Am I the only 1 that is feeling this??? Or everyone is the same.. ? which i doubt so.

Recently I dont have much stuffs to blog about nor in the mood to blog.
Super depressed right now... another of my adult fish die yesterday
for no reason.... within 30 mins when i got home.
And it got to be my top favourite, the black big tail!!
Shit! When I though i can rest assured after all my fries are saved.....

BLING MY PSP -Part 1

Basically this is my 2nd trial, after i try to bling my card reader
Just to make sure the glue doesnt damage the gadget

Before i started, Ying already warn me... PSP is way too ambitious
wahahah, but i finish my thumbdrive with an hr
so I decided to start on a adventure with my PSP!
After 1 hour plus
Eyes can see "fireworks" liao
and Im not even halfway done.
This is what i have here..... and i ran out of crystals

Gonna buy more crystals in black colour.

Should be able to complete this by Wed.. hopefully.

As this is my 1st attempt on bling the work is not perfect.

Maybe when i mastered the art of bling bling, I should be re-do the PSP again.

My next project should be my camera and hp.. haha

I did a test before.

I call him "Dog, hey dog come here"

He didnt response, and he only came over when i say

"Hey Ren (human).. come here"

Eto on the other hand, response to Dog not Ren(human)

so Eto know he is a dog while Cyrus dont think so.

BAD MORNING - PART 2

This post is a boring one. Im keeping it as a spawning journal.
Just skip if you are not into fishes.

I came home to MORE carcass.
In total i scooped out 46 dead fries, in addition to the 35 this morning
haiz....
But i do manage to save 1 little fellow... i almost thought he is dead!

in just 1 day, 81 fries die on me..
the most scary thing was.. all the daphnia that was added into the tank as food
end up dead as well.

Now i have a tank bottom full of dead daphnia and fries.

So damn suai, i really dunno what went wrong.
All I know, something is wrong with the water condition
the water was from a adult breeding tank which i though would very safe.

So i decided to do a PH test.
the test shows an alarming result
water in the tank was very acidic.. below 6
Is that why the daphnia and fries are dying on me?

Very likely as temperature and cleanliness should be favourable
only PH is not.

So i further did another 5 test on the old tank and mixture of water.
Old tank on the other hand is almost alkaline.. almost 7
I still have 2 fries in there surviving well with leftover of microfood

No choice, I need to bring down and balance the PH
so i further test another 8 times.. mixing water from the rest of the adult tank
into the old breeding tank until i obtain a PH of 6.6.

It such a co-incidence that today was Home Alone day.
Emma went back to Jb, and I was to handle all these on my own.

So I start to play scooping game again....
scooping the surviving fries 1 by 1 back into the old tank.

This time, survivor number was only 55.
it doesnt tally with the dead carcasses i found.
So i suspected that some could have been eaten as i just
caught 1 fries eating its smaller sibling.

when its all done, i added more daphnia into the old tank
using a touch to shine on them..
I could see the whole tank was full of microfood
and this time the fries was not as restless as the night before
I could see them chasing after the food.

Let just pray hard these 55 survives..
I didnt want to wake up to a tank a dead fries again.

BAD MORNING - PART 1

woke up this morning and saw white carcass floating

sad.....

last night just did a headcount .. got 145 pc of fries right?

This morning, i started scooping 1 by 1.

headcount for dead fries.. intotal I have 35 dead and maybe more to come

(which i hope not, keep my fingers crossed.)

Possibilties could be either not enough food or

fries are stressed out which causes death

i think should be the latter since most of the dead fries are

the bigger ones.

Emma just went to get some fries food for them

just hope i dont see any more carcass when i got home tonight.

the only good news was, emma found another small survivor stranded in the old tank.
so headcount is at 109.

BACK BREAKING ACTIVITY

Did something that really strain my back and neck!!
wan to break already lor.

I just spend the past 1hr + doing headcount for all my fries.

2 days back, i started to experiment with 7 fries.
scooped them into another container with aged water.
to see if they can survive the different environment.
Experts have warn me not to touch the fries, as they are very fragile
and unstable. any changes they will die off.

But i could no longer tahan the smelly water, so i tested
100% water change with 7 fries.

2 days later which is today.. they are still alive and kicking!
Okay .. means not necessary will die lor..

just just nw i try to scoop the rest of fries into another tank.. using a spoon
Emma was still saying some of the fries have die.. nw only left 50 pcs

Yea right.. Lao niang wo.. scoop until i wan to die
never ending lor.. almost cannot straighten my back and neck.

together with the pioneer 7.. in total i have 145 pcs.
can you imagine scooping 1 by 1, 138 times
and i need to use a torchlight if not cant even see them

its no fun.. man.
haha.. its really like those pasar malam game scooping the gold fish
I think i will score very well at that!

peeps. congratulate me.. i still have 145 fries left as of now!

If they all survive.. I will take picture of their betta rack.. hmm no shelves!

THE UPBRINGING OF OUR KIDS

Many time we have seen juvenile cases reported on newspaper

or someone near us would have complaint of their teenage kids

gone out of hands.

End up in police station for fights or so..

What really happen?

When the kids got into trouble, the parents will blame the school

the teachers or even the tutors.

For not teaching the kids manners or not keeping an eye on them.

Hello, how come parents did not ask themselves.

what happen to my children?

Are we responsible for such behaviour?

The school, teachers and tutor are not responsible for keeping

your kids out of trouble.

You are their parents, and they are your reponsiblities.

Why did i mentioned this topic today?

Saw something that make me rant about it.

Just the other day, as i was waiting for cab

I saw these group of six uncle and aunties crowding at the void deck.

Among them was a kid... hmm about 4-5 years.

That kid was very naughty.

He was playing with one of the uncle in a very rude manner.

screaming and shoving. But it seems so the adult is playing with

him in such manner.

At this point, I'll just watch.. i dont feel anything

Next, the kid push over a bicylcle

the toppled bicycle almost hit one of the uncle.

Everyone in the right mind would have scolded and disciplined him right?

They did not, instead they start applauding

cheering the boy on.

My eye open wide and my jaws drop..

WTF, they are encouraging the boy..

hence when the uncle actually picked the bike up.. the boy ran and toppled it again

This time it hit the uncle on the foot.

Again the rest started clapping and cheering the boy on.

The uncle was so mad, he try to grab the boy and smack him

before he did, the boy grab his arm and gave him a hard bite.

The uncle was yelling in pain and someone got to pulled the boy away.

The few aunties starting clapping and cheering and even giving the boy

the Thumb UP, telling him GOOD.

U can see the cheeky look on the boy face.

He was proud with what he have done and he is only 4 years old.

In another case which i have encountered.

Im used to tutor this 6 year old boy.

the whole day he would be at home with the maid Marie.

Parents would be working long hours

The boy would yell for Marie for any slightest thing.... water, pen, eraser.

even when the eraser is just few steps away from him.

after that, he would not say "Thank you"

I ask him why?

Why didnt you call her Auntie Marie, hw can you just yell for her name?

Why didnt you say 'thank you' each time Auntie Marie help you?

Why must you yelled everytime you need something, do you like me yelling at you??

Why can you just walk over and get your own eraser??

Should you say "Please" each time you need someone to help you?

He look at me wide eye and shrug his shoulder.

Must say thank you? Must call as Auntie Marie?

Must say 'please'??

His parents didnt tell him that......or correct him.

He told me, mommy and daddy did the same mah.

Marie told me, that is how thing are at home.

3 of them will take turn to yell for her..

no such things as 'PLEASE' and 'THANK YOU'

just because she is the MAID.

Is this how we s'poreans are teaching our kids now?

We, Sporean are so fucking proud of ourself especially when we are overseas.

We are so proud till we no longer know what is mutual respect and basic manners

But may I asked.. what are we proud of?

Our rude manners? Our cockiness? Our unruly behehaviour?

If 10, 15 years down the road.

Your so called precious children yelled at you, or even slap you back

Will you still cheer him on and give him the thumb Up?

Just 2 weeks ago, we are complaining that Nuff has got no ads..
and MsChorlor nuff's egg finally hatched.. she got $0.40

today i check.. my egg has hatch too!
I got $0.60 yeah dajie.. i got more than you.. blah :P

Although its slower than my google.. but better than nothing hor

ITS RAINING MANGOES

This year, due to dry weather
all the mangoes trees are having a good harvest.
Been staying in Tampines for almost 3 years now
Its the 1st time that I notice the abundance of mangoes
hanging from the trees.

In fact, i've never know they are mango tress

the picture below is one of the mangoes trees
but consider to have a bad harvest in my opinion.



Just walk along the street to Tampines Mall.
You will see the whole street are 'decorated' with mangoes.

There is this particular tree, Emma pointed out
"Look at that its a Mango X'mas Tree"
with that its easy to imagine how it look like.
hasnt got a chance to take a shoot of that xmas tree thou

we been wondering what is going to happen to those mangoes
is it going to gone to waste?

But there is good news now.
NDP will be harvesting this mangoes for charity.

on a side note:
these mango tress are planted on the road side
and i do notice some of their branches are not prun
hence its literally hanging mangoes above the road and traffic
what happen if the ripen mango fell off and hit a passing vehicle
cause a shock to the driver and resulting in a traffic accident?
hehe maybe i have think too much!

Irene was asking me why mangoes huh? How come not durians?

IS THE WEATHER...?

Already been having bad tummy cramps due to IBS for three weeks
and since last night.. the migraine came too
cant even do any updates for my blog as i have a bulging pain
in my eyes

not sure if the super hot weather that causes it or my new contact lens

this morning, this two major combo strikes together
I cant even get out of bed.

I hope it goes away soon!

we wasted 2.5 hrs cleaning up the mess.
Actually we thought to just leave the paint there in case this
loanshark make a mistake again.
but worry my dogs die from licking up the paint.

Oh yah, my KPO neighbours were so busy walking
pass my unit to see us clean up..and busy gossiping
about their new neighbour owing loan shark money
Still pretend to throw litter and ask me..
"Aiyo.. accidentally spilled the paint ar?"

Come to think of it.. the police at that time have
promised to come back to us in 2 months time.

THANKS FOR RUINING MY DAY -PART 1

Dear Uncle,

Thank you so much for ruining my perfect Tuesday morning!
Another big THANK YOU for providing me with blogging material
when im having a major BLOG BLOCK!

This wonderful uncle is non other than the Taxi Driver from Trans Cab
who drove me to work this morning.

As usual when I board a cab, I would instructed the cabby to go via
PIE/KPE to my office. This is my usual prefered route as its the cheapest and
fastest way to go Cecil Street. It will always be range from $13.40 to $13.80 .

Okay, so i was sick and tired this morning that i actually kind of doze off
for a while. When I open my eye the next moment...
we are stuck in a Jam few lanes away from KPE exit.
Oh what happen.. why are we at the extreme right lane to CTE instead of left
lane to KPE?

Instantly, I ask him..
ME:Eh uncle, go by KPE mah.. why u take CTE?
Him: HUH, aiyo.... tsk!!

Then try to do a very lame and crappy stunt.. try to maneuver his vehicle to the
left into KPE exit but failed as i already said "We are in a jam, and slightly passed
the KPE exit"

Shit you driver.. Im haven got my driver license and i know that's impossible..
so please dont act..

Him: Tsk.. haiz.. cannot lah too late
Tsk tsk.. you should have tell me early just now.. you know... blah blah blah

simply cut him short by shooting him back... damn you still TSK me!

Me: Uncle, how EARLY you wan me to tell you?! Didnt I tell you PIE/KPE when
i first got on the cab? Not EARLY enough HUH?
And you know CTE is already more expensive, not to mentioned JAM!

That does shut him up ... as we jam (slow traffic) all the way to Cecil Street

There is one point i certainly do not understand. He may have not heard me 'KPE'
and he didnt ask... never bother at all
weird thing was he have seen a Jam forming on the lanes to CTE way before he reach
why did he choose to be on the extreme right lane and not go into KPE to avoid
the JAM? If i didnt wake up and point to him that.. he would have happily queuing up
in the traffic jam


In case, no body understand what im blahling about, i have attached a map
with my own illustrations. Its not exact but closed enough.

I was pissed already while in the cab... and i was intending to pay him only $13.80
shit lor, I have no exact change in my wallet .. there were only 50 dollar notes

When I reach my destination, the meter was at $15.20.
I pass him the $50 dollar bill and ask for receipt.. he was looking for change
So i asked him

Me: So how uncle, you going to charge me for $15?
Him: Yah lah, follow Meter mah, its $15.20 ley.. as he give me his innocent look
Me: Yah Meter say $15.20... but I told you to take KPE.. u opt for CTE
not my problem if fare is higher. My usual is $13+ only ley
Should you charge me $13++??
Him: Hmm no lah.. follow meter (as he point to meter again)
As he gaved back the change and receipt
You call the Tel number on the receipt lah
Me: Oh the tel number huh? To call in and complain lah is it?
Him: Yah Yah, you call and complaint lah
Me: Okay lah.. get off the cab

Oh Man!, Uncle is challenging me to complaint him ar..
Okay Uncle, you shall get what you wished for!

As per what uncle advise to call the tel. number in the receipt
so I did, called Trans Cab complaint Hotline (6555 6666) from 10.45am to 1.15pm
Icalled for like 8 times, line is always transfered, put on hold and then line busy.
Wah SUPERB! to think the complaint line is even HOTTER than the booking
line!

By the way, Uncle, thanks for the discount of $0.20 hor ..
and Im sure going to give you what you wished for..

Finally manage to speak to someone, not through the complaint line but through the "lost and found" line.

I refused to hang up, and request to speak to a manager. As I was told there should be 5 officers manning the complaint line. Since morning till now, i can never get through... Is there complaint cases too over whelming or the officers are chatting on the line??! Its even busier than Singtel/Starhub line!

This particular helpful CS actually help me to note down my complaint and my particulars, as she is not from the complaint dept, she cant give me a definite answers. But based on estimation, someone from the investigation will contact me with 1 or 2 weeks time.

Oh, so it does take that LOONGGG.. so is that why the cabby challenged me?? As he is well aware, 1st Trans Cab complaint line is forever BUSY and 2nd, it takes that long to revert. So most probably he is going to get away with his rude attitude.

But I just cant let him get away...with this. If he have talk to me nicely or offer to waive off some charges or even apologise that he took the wrong route.. I can just forget about it.

Its after-all only $1.40 extra... I can well afford that

But why should i be taking this kind of shit from you when im the paying customer?!

Im the self-proclaimed TAXI QUEEN... you think i will let you earn our hard-earned money with such bad attitude??

This is a personal encounter... numerous time.

Seems like some guys are rather afraid they be taken advantage of

A) Look at us when waiter hands over the bills
B) taking forever to retrieve their wallet from their Mega deep pocket
perhaps the wallet is lost in the pocket yea?!
C) took out only $20 when the bill is $80 for 4 pax
D) pretend not to notice the bill
(helo, we didnt say we wont pay you back.. why so scare?)

Most of the time, the ladies in my groups will swipe out their wallet
and cards to foot the bills instead.
Then there is a few occassion, the boys 'forgotten' to pay his own share
or if he is the one who pay.. he probably tell you how much to pay

This happen to emma's ex-colleg, who is also a trainer.

As trainers schedule are very packed.. very often they dont get fixed lunch break

most of the time, they probably have only 15mins if free time for quick lunch

So this trainer also will pre-packed her lunch and leave it at the pantry

so when she is free, she can have it quick and fast.

Then the most shitty things happen to her.

She open up the lunch box. It empty!

The freaking ASSHOLE finished her lunch and left a empty lunch box

for her to throw!

Sometimes, she even get empty Mac burger & fries box and half -empty COKE!

FUCKING hell... can you imagine how pissed she is?

She is the only female and these loafers who are fellow trainers

are living off her and leaving her empty boxes to clear.

It happen to her repeatedly and nobody is willing to admit

because of this, she got to go without lunch.

So 1 fine day she decided to do something

and true enough that loafer dare not touch her lunch anymore.

She wrote this on her lunch box with Marker pen

The FUCKER who ate my lunch will have

have zero for the month!

Which means, the asshole will have zero sales for the whole month

Trainers depend heavily on sales, if Zero for the month.. have to eat shit lor!

SECRET RECIPE

Dinner tonight was at Secret Recipe.
Im sooo in loved with their cake to the extend
I apply for a Secret Recipe Diners card for that

The dinner menu on the the other hand was not so fantastic
except for their Tom Yum Soup.. its superb!

But its out for me, cuz i didnt want to end up having gastric
pain and cant work on monday.

So we ordered the following.

Its just hmmm... so so only


My chicken chop was not served piping hot.. which i wonder why
Herb & spices rice taste very bland without fragrance of herbs
Chicken with mushroom sauce on the other hand tasted really salty(for me)
maybe that why both should be eaten together huh..

As for Emma's Pan grilled fillet.
I dont like it that much...
cause i can smell the 'fishy smell' when its served


Together with the lobster sauce
sounds special but taste nothing special at all

Actually we have tried the other items on the menu before
which are actually not bad, better than the dishes today.

Another 1 thing to take note thou
Secret recipe do charge $$ for Ice water.

doesnt it states $0.50 per bottle (can fill 2 glasses)?
Now we are being charged on per glass(small) basis!!

My fave cake of all time... its a timeless classic

'Heavenly' is the word!


The cake is freaking BIG for $5.20
and its big enough to be share by 2 or 3 pax.
See I have to show you the anatomy of the cake
to prove how nice it is!!

Actually the reason why we ended up at Secret Recipe for dinner tonight
was because of my craving for the white choc macadamia cake.

After this dinner, I just feel that overall I think the food and cakes
still taste better from the cafe in Malaysia!
The one in Sg or maybe this particular outlet just
didnt performed it best!
Emma felt the same.

Oh and we usually patronised the Secret Recipe in Malaysia
as their cakes are the same price but in Ringgit
So for the same BIG piece of cake, its RM$5.20
and the diners card gets another 10% off.. GREAT DEAL!

FRENCH 'FRIES' IN THE MAKING -PART 4

Currently now my fries are coming of 2weeks of age.
Its not as easy keep them alive and rearing them to full terms
Since friday, I have started feeding them boon aka daphnia
oh they love it so much that the tank is pretty much empty the
following morning. Need to refill it on daily basis but the problem
is I'm running out of daphnia.
And the fish shop downstairs are not selling it.

Good news is.. they seems to have grown much bigger for the
past 3 days after started on boon diet.

Now we are discussing and looking into ways to rear this fries
water in the breeding tank is getting dirty and smelly
How to we change it?
The Pros have advise that it not advisable to touch the water
until 1 month later. But Im worried about bacteria growth with all the
waste in the tank.
Fries do die during water changes due to difference in water temperature or PH.
I guess we just have to experiment it our own way.
Betta fries are not easy to rear.. and survival rate is only about 10-20%
I have about 100+ fries now, ultimately i might only end up
with 10-30 surviving adults
Some owners have report 100% death rate or only 7 adults surviving.

Another 1 crazy thought i have.
If i rear the fries (3-5 fries) separately in individual container
will these increase the growth & survival rate
as there are more food and less competition,
hence they will grow much better with more food intake.

Perhaps I should do a experiment on this and monitor their growth.

Lol, me and Irene were discussing all these and reminds me of the days in school
when we have to do project. I don't think i was this enthusiastic in the past!

Fries like to form their own group like these
in this small group like this, its easy to find about 15 of them.
Most are prefer to swim on the surface
although there a few loners, like to roam
the bottom of the tank.

I have done a close-up shot.
See how their size differ, some are even smaller
then the one on the left.

I have use red arrows to indicate the head and tail
so its easy to see the whole length.

They have really merge into the water
having the same colour, its almost diff to spot them out
in the pictures.



I think in another 4 days or so
they should be developing their Dorsal Fin aka Tail

hmm, i wonder how they grow up to be.
By the way, im not sure anyone knows
rearing betta fries is just like having jackpot draw
as you will never know what you going to get
unless both parents are the same.. maybe
You wont know how they look like and what colour until
they fully develop.
They may look nothing like their parents too or even
developed colours which the parents dont have! LOL

A SMOKER AND A DRINKER

Basically this best describe what me and emma are
A smoker and a drinker
I smoke .. don't drink and he drink.. don't smoke
But there is something which i have been dwelling for a while
hmm.. 'not a while' actually since its like almost five years already.

He drinks and Im fine with that BUT when I smoke.. he is not
ok with that although he still insist now that he is not UNhappy
about the fact I smoked

When i smoke infront of him.. he frowns
walks away when i talked to him or even ask me
"why are you smoking again? Why must smoke?"

Okay lor.. since then I have never smoke infront of him again
caused Ii just cant be bothered to answer questions like this
I smoked behind his back.. wahaha!

Back to the point
Im a habitual smoker turn social smoker
as i realised i have been throwing ciggies away into the bin when
i cant finish it in time.. and they turn yucky
and its not logical smoking myself to death just to save some
ciggies monies 'unfortunately' everyone i know is a non-smoker,
there isnt anyone to share

Now i do not have the urge to smoke every single hour
but I do smoke when i feel like it.
Dont ask me why ok.. cause the theory is same
as 'I blog whatever crap I like'

He is forever telling me.. smoking is no good and drinking is ok!

I hate that when someone always tells me that

many months back, when i was in the hair salon
I heard of the customer relating her story

it usually happen in the early morning or late afternoon
I shall named this customer as 'A' and the caller as C

This morning, my mom-in-law (MIL) recieved a similar call early in JB.
Caller is chinese speaking.

same thing, as above claim have kidnapped my brother-in-law.
My MIL heard cryings behind but it doesnt sound like my bro-in-law
as the crying sound like from a young kid. Fyi, my bro-in-law is a grown
up of 26 years old. So MIL is infact suspicious she has a got a scam call.

Next the caller went on to ask for RM$20K and ask for her mobile
numberbank account and balance and even rejected her when she
request to speak to the victim. Lucky she was smart enough to provide
false information and told the caller she cannot remember her mobile
number, need to check her phone and its upstairs
Caller give her 2 mins to check and come back.

This give her ample time to call my bro-in-law. Lucky she manage to
catch of him, he is having his breakfast at a coffeeshop. At this point,
MIL then hang up the call anddetached the residential line.
Caller wont able to call her back, and my dad-in-law
actually came back to bring her to make a police report.

Haha.. i even have singles friends receiving such calls. So i guess pretty
much these scammers are calling randomly, trying their luck for a victim.

We order the jam and peanut butter toast we have craving

Not enough sauce and cheese for this one

chicken chop on the other hand is tender

For this one, every thing looks good!
But sad to say pork chop is very tough
i have to used knife to cut it .. the meat is really tough
my jaws ache....

Under each baked rice, there is a lotus leaf
supposed to make the rice more fragance
but, its not working. No lotus fragant when we smell or eat.
Unlile the one from KL....

FIRE CAUSED BY LCD TV

For all those who have LCD TV at home, please take note.

This happen to my mom's neighbour house.

(the whole unit was on rental to a group of guys for the past 5yrs)

A fire broke out in a HDB 3-room unit in bedok yesterday noon

Fire tiggered off by short-circuit of household appliances

The applicances in question was non other than the LCD TV.

This is a common applicances that can be found easily in every home now.

What caused the short-circuit?

Based on my understanding, the LCD Tv was put on sleep mode every single day

The mains was not switch off too, as the user find it more convinient this way

He can just switch it on whenever he want just by a touch using the remote control

Seems like the LCD TV has mulfunctioned due to constant overheating

and cause the fire as the spark started from the TV.

Fortunately, no one was injured or killed as the tenant managed to get out in time

When it started, the tenant was sleeping in the room , totally unaware

of the fire until a neighbour started banging on his door.

According to the helpful neighbour, he have seen smokes coming out of the windows

and quickly try to check if there is anyone inside...

Therefore those who have the habit of leaving ALL your electrical applicances on

sleep mode , do be careful.

On a side note

The guy who was sleeping in the room was alone with a dog; a Chihuahua (CHH),

owned by his housemate.

When he was awaken by the door banging , he then realised a fire have broke out

As he open the door to escape.. the chihuahua have too dashed out of the house..

At this time, the fire was relatively small, restricted at the TV console , he could have actually put it out easily but he did not. Instead he dashed out for his dear life and closed the door behind him. Nor did he ran after the dog or call the fire engine.

He just stood at the corridor and wait!

Hmm, its was only minutes later... My dad realised there was a fire then he

came out of our house to check thing out.

It was my dad who called for the fire engine.. which only arrive like 20mins later.

my dad ask ask the guy to try help to put out the fire..... he refused

Then my dad then ask him to open the door.. he refused too

Too scare to do anything... he could only stand at the corridor and wait...

Next my mom ask him where is the dog.. he reply.. ran away... heck care... no need to find

Nobody could do anything as the door was shut and have to wait for the fire engine to come.

My dad just help to switch off the power mains, incase there is more complications

(hehe.. I think my dad was pretty smart eh for a 72 yr old ah pek? only realise that now!)

Hello Mister, I was wondering if you actually shut the door thinking it could content the fire when it becomes bigger?

I know that is not your flat to start with, so no need to save it right?

Then what happen if the fire get bigger and burn down the units next door and upstairs?

Good lor, all the few households surrounding your house get burn down together and can do a mass claim on fire insurance is it? What is your brain thinking??

but u been living with that dog for 5 yrs... no feeling meh?

You freaking out.. so is tat poor little dog!

End-up my mom is the one whom went to rescue that CHH.. went from

Lvl 11 to 14 and all the way down to Lvl 7 before she found her.

Shivering in a corner... and neighbours said the CHH was like a mad dog

darting around in a frenzy manner looking lost and frighten.

Those aunties wanted to carry her.. but she refused and keep running away..

until the CHH heard my mom voice.

LoL.. my mom was calling out "gal gal" at each single level ... people who dont know,

actually ask if my mom have lost a granddaughter.

When the CHH heard my mom's call she quickly ran to my mom and actually

allow my mom to carry her back. Poor thing.. must be so frighten by the fire and

unfamiliar environment. For the past few year, the owner hardly bring

her out of the house.

20 mins later.. two fire engines have arrived..and try to put out the fire!

but by this time.. the electrical appliances have been badly burnt up.. creating thick black

fumes.

The entire unit was gone...not much damages to their personal belongings thou

but the walls and floor got charred and burnt marks.... my parents' unit was

slightly affected. The whole unit was choking with thick black fumes as well and

partial of the wall turned black.

Although no one was injured during this incident which was a fortunate thing

(not sure what happen to the hamsters in the house...)

But really lor... have such a Heck Care neighbour is really UNFORTUNATE!

WHAT if the fire have grown so much bigger that the next door units was burned down as well.

Imagine, you have a neighbour like him...

In fact for this pair we have keep for quite some time already
but yet to post any picture because of their colour
highly reflective
Its almost impossible to take a decent pic of them for the past weeks
especially the male.. he is camera shy.

we have just transferred the pair of Green Mask HMPK into their breeding tank
This is our female lead. Actually both of them are siblings
with very good genes.

Its okay if those people who are applauding in the view of freedom and not free show!

Rec'd an email today on dog eating and I decided to google
for more info

Anyway its not new to me that Korea and China are dog eating country

But I was totally horrified when I read this.

The perception of a normal Korean (regardless of gender)

Pure breed dogs are meant to keep as pet and mixed breed are meant for eating!
Generally all breeds can be eaten
but mixed breed all purely meant for that purpose

Gosh , horrible people! What made you think like this.

Is that why Korean are famous for plastic surgery?

They condemn human and animal based on their looks?

So there is this constant need to beautify themselves through plastic surgery

so that they look more beautiful on the outside.

But whatever happen to inner beauty?

Should a person be condemn just because he is born less pretty than others?

Then is it the dog's fault that its born as a mixed breed and not a pure breed?

So it deserved to be tortured and killed as a food??

Found the bunny 2 days ago at 830pm at night, in siglap, at the Jln Sempadan field.
It’s light grey, gentle black eyes.. plush fur and around 28cm length.
It’s healthy, and also fully toilet-trained. eats fresh veg and rabbit petfood pellets.
Likes being stroked and is sociable.

I was supposed to rush a urgent report to be submitted by today

Already on super tight schedule and the worse happened

Super duper pissed man... been doing it for the past

I really dunno what to say... waste of my time to check and correct them

Super angry.. the live food which we called it Brine Shrimp eggs

come in 2 form.

Freshwater and Saltwater

He is supposed to get the freshwater type so we can actually hatch the eggs ourself

and feed the brine shrimps to the fries

The fish shop guy told him only sell 1 type which is the saltwater eggs

and IT ALL THE SAME.

So he happily bought it.. thinking tonight can try hatching shrimps

Yea right.. FUCK that asshole who said it the SAME!!

I ask the CS who served me.

Last year, when i signed up for the MIO plan (high end plan)

The promo was all MIO customers

are eligible for handset upgrade every 12 months.

and there is $100 to be offset against handset purchase.

I even ask on the spot before signing...

Confirm $100 every 12 months to be offset again handset purchase

even when the mobile model is on promo??!

The answer is YES, as its all offered to all MIO CUSTOMERS ONLY

Then I wanted to be sure, I ask if this valid for next year..

cuz I worry they will tell me "Sorry Mdm, its promo for last year. This year dont have"

The reply was YES CONFIRMED!

So what happen is ,this CS was like shocked so refer me to the MIO dept,

in case she got her fact wrongly.

Again from the MIO dept, their reply was

"Oh sorry mdm that $100 dollar discount is promo for 2 years back, this year dont have le"

Then again she tell me, Yes Mio customer is ELIGIBLE for handset upgrade every 12 months

and the penalty charge for handset upgrade below 21mths

will be waived using the $100.

WTF!!!

1st of all, I signed up the promo last year not 2 years back..

and she corrected herself , hmm yah last year

2ndly. If im eligible for handset upgrade, then why am I being imposed the penalty

for upgrade below 21 months???

3rd. How can the $100 offered to me is being used to waive the penalty charge??

And then she tell me no more discount of $100.

So what is she trying to say?? There is $100 but use offset penalty only not handset

or there is no penalty or no $100??!

Doesnt make sense to me!

And here this CS is trying to bubbled me into believing that i have mis-interpreted

FOOD POISONING AGAIN?

The Indian Rojak case have yet to come to a closure
when there is another case of mass food poisoning.

This time, its a chinese restaurant BaShu RenJia
located at Geylang serving Steamboat.
Since Friday 10 Apr, 14 have been reported for food poisoning
while 2 have been hospitalised.

But NEA have yet to shut down this restaurant
Hence have warn patronizers to cook their food throughly before eating.
Although it has found no relevance to the Rojak case
but i guess everyone cant help to worry!

Will this only restrict or geylang or anywhere in Sg?
I guess its safer to eat from home right?
Then people like me will die 1st lor
Dont cook and dont know how to cook,always eat outside
Maybe I should start making sandwich everyday then!!

Them somehow I remember a something a friend told me before about Roti Prata
Not related to the rojak case , but i just always remember it!!
Its has been a few years already
After I heard that.. there is a period of time I do not dare to eat Roti Prata
even now, I'll still eat them but try to minimise it

now i got traumatised by Prata for years already

This is what happen.. its a true life account
Her Grandpa ordered Roti Prata from a indian stall in Bedok for breakfast
when the food was served piping hot .. of cos start to eat right..
but something unusual happened.
The grandpa spit out the food.. and actually took out the plate of prata to smell it!
His face turn green and disgusted
The prata reeks of faeces lor.. thats the reason why he spit it out immediately.
He went to confront the Indian stall holder
Then u know lah.. these ah neh always act blur

At this moment.. something more scary happen
The grandpa saw a ring on the left hand of the ah neh making prata
the ring got shit on it lor!!!
That why the prata reeks of faeces

Incase some people who dunno ok.
for muslim who ate with the hands instead of spoon and forks
only use the right hand. Why?
Good question, cuz they actually use left hand to
wash their *ahem* after toilet visits
thats how the sai(faeces) got on the ring lah

So I always have this fear when im ordering from Indian Stall

Disgusting right?

Even today, when i went for dinner I wanted to eat Indian Rojak
but then again I guess not... hahaha I worry about hygiene problem
even though Im not eating in Geylang.

Im remember reading somewhere NEA have actually caught a few offenders.
Those usual Indian stall at coffeeshop usually have no valid food license to sell
What happen is the original stall owner will actually rent out these
stall to some indians which i guess is not even locals
They will just come on social visits
Earn some cash selling these indian food and return back to India
That is why, u will keep seeing the Indian stalls changing 'owner'
after every few months.

So for peeps who really enjoy Indian food
do be careful where u eating even though not from geylang serai.

WE'RE BOTH IN SHOCK

Something bad just happen
I was changing the water for the fishes
when 1 particular bugger start to jump

I shall name him 'Dumbo Ting' as his pectoral fins are big
just like elephant ears

I went "SHIT SHIT SHIT" when i saw the Dumbo jump from my net
to the sink, and I try to pick him up
Jump further.. 3 time and couldnt get him
as I see him turn dull grey and near to drainage.

I start to panicked and quickly try again...
manage to scoop him up...
Yes was in my hands and i cupped him to where the Tank is

Just went I thought he went into the tank now
NO! Jump again and landed out of the tank and onto the floor

OMG!!!! I tot this time he sure confirm dying
as I have to try scooping him up twice before he gets in to the tank this time
Super scare.. I know Emma sure gonna scold me if this bugger die on me!!

Dumbo really turn a dull sheet of grey
and I think we both equally shocked by this drama
The worse is, I saw one of his pectoral(on the side) fins sticking to his body
only right side is moving, the left is like dead fin

Wah piang, I thought he is injured as i went on to inspect the rest
Put some yellow powers and tons of leaves to calm him down
the left pectoral fin still not moving

I guess that is it, this little fellow is injured for sure
and he looked super depressed and dull even beside a flaring male
Im so worried, he will die within the next hour
Emma sure will scold, cuz we just bought dumbo yesterday

so I decided to stimulate him
Put a pretty sexy red babe beside his tank
Viola!! He start to dance, flaring at the female
even all the colours came back


(See before the pectoral fin are not even movable)
Start snatching at the worms i fed and even start
blowing bubbles (a sign of comfort)

KNS.... scare me for nothing
I think all male bettas are so horny and chee kor (lusty)
Get well immediate at the sight of babes!!

MORE TINGS TO COME

Today, the 3 of us (w/ Emma & Irene) went for a excursion at Pasir Ris

Spend a total of 4 hrs at 2 fish farms

and we came back with more bettas , tanks and food.

Spend almost $200 there.

Im only able to take picture of two bettas as my Cam batt went flat.

Hehe, will take picture of the rest once my Cam is upz.

These two are my fave, among all.

Especially this black piece.

I doubt it will be used for breeding as the fins are too perfect.

My heart will ache if its damage during the breeding process.

HAUNTED SCHOOLS

Saw this list from a email I received.
When I read about that part on TP, I stoned for a while

Since young, I always have numerous encounters with the 'unknown'
even bump into face to face before
I belong to the category, which you will call it the 6th sense
so im ultimate sensitive to these

I ever tried using a toilet even though i have saw shadows and know its existence
and I would still use that bathroom alone.

But the weird thing is, I can never step into a toilet at those located at
TP Engineering block 18. Its just too creepy and eerie.
In the past, if I had to use that toilet during school holidays,I would make my then BF wait for me in the Ladies itself. Imagine the whole block will be empty and quiet.
If not, I would rather burst my bladder then to use it...That is how scary it is...
But all these happen way before that sports car accident. So i dun see any relations to it.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic was rumoured to have a girl student died in one of the engineering workshop because her hair got stucked in some machine and screams can be heard from the workshop at night.

Tampines Secondary School was said to be haunted by the spirit of a girl whom was raped by construction workers during its construction days in the 1980s.

Hai Sing Secondary School had a mother Mary there whose statue will drip blood.

CHIJ Saint Josept Convent had rumours about why a cubicle is always locked. It was said that a girl was waiting for her parents to fetch her one day while she got raped and thereafter hanged herself in one of the toilet.

Pei Dao Secondary School was famous for the smacking and hitting noise at night in the basketball court. The music room was also rumoured to be haunted with a piano playing by itself every night at 12am sharp.

Pasir Ris Crest had an indian construction worker committed suicide in the toilet in its construction days. It was rumoured that the toilet was locked eversince after students complained about seeing a man stabbing himself repeatedly in the stomach.

Queenstown Secondary School was famous for the tomb stone that was found in the field by students.

Bedok View Secondary School had a toilet next to the bio lab on the ground floor haunted by a long haired ghost obsessed with combing her hair infront of the mirror. A few girls went into the toilet and ran out screaming and crying while it was rumoured the principal went inside the toilet to scold the ghost.

Yuying Secondary had its teachers and principals seeing silhouettes of children running around the school compound when worked late. It was said that when the school was doing its upgrading work, construction workers quitted one by one after witnessing strange occurrences.

Gan Eng Seng Secondary School had its 4th storey Ary Class haunted to the point of the teachers wouldn’t dare to enter the room alone. The rooftop of the building was rumoured to live a singing lady whose voice could be heard in an art classroom.

Singapore Polytechnics had T1,T2,T3…..but no T13. A student committed suicide at one of the teaching block’s toilet after stabbing the lecturer ( the lecturer died too). Screams can bea heard at night when part time students were having classes.

Haig Girls Secondary School used to be a place to hold POWs during WWII. There is an area within the school compound which has more than usual rate of accidents occuring. It seems many people would trip and fall while walking along the compound. Was rumoured that walking across the field diagonally cutting across field at night, you will be greeted by an old woman asking you to buy matchsticks from her.

Meiling Seconary School has a railway track behind its building. The school was moved to a temporary building they were building a new one. A broken hand was rumoured to be crawling somewhere in the technical lab from a student whose hand was saw off during lesson and bleed to death. At the old school in Bukit Merah, the toilet on the 5th floor was locked because it was haunted by a girl who hanged herself in the toilet.

Boonlay Secondary School had a pond in the middle of a science block with classes. It was said that if one look at the pond at night, there will be a strange face that will surface out of it.

Temasek Polytechnic was rumoured to have an indian worker binding wire inside a pillar but a colleague pour cement inside the pillar burying him in the process and they only found out when the whole building was almost completed. It was rumoured that the body is still inside the pillar which is believed to be somewhere in Block 18.

ACS was rumoured to be haunted by a boy who jumped into the gears in the gear room of the clock tower. Students being possessed were common in the school.

In Temasek Polytechnic, Engine block corridors from Block 18 were so haunted that guards wouldn’t patrol that area. A famous story told by a guard was he saw a student at a locker as he was patrolling and as he make an U turn few minutes later, he found a piece of newspaper on the floor with that student’s face he just saw. Only problem is that student was killed by a sports car at the bus stop few months back.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic was rumoured to be built on burial ground. The slopes and hilly grounds is an indication of bunkers underneath.

Clementi Town Secondary School had its Home Econs and Science Lab haunted by a ghost whose head roll on the floor.

Tanjong Katong Secondary were said to be haunted at its studio. Band members staying the night were always disturbed while sleeping

we have suspect Curly of eating his own babies!

This morning there is a delightful surprise awaiting us in the Betta Room

the whole eggy gang have transformed..into tiny black dots

woohoo!

There are hundreds of eyes staring back at us.

When we stare hard enough, these tiny black dots moved

followed where the red arrows are

stare hard ..those tiny black dots are eyes of the fries...

Most have start to hatch, as for those whitish patches

either they are slow bloomer or could be unfertilised eggs

But the amount of eyes we have are amazing

they look so cute

Infact , does share a resemblance to the dessert we alway eat

not sure what is the name, the ice mountain dessert that has lotsa

Tadpoles lookalike among it (know which 1 im refering to?)..

LOL.. you can ignore me!

There is something more amazing than the eyes

Look at the picture carefully , follow the red arrows again

See the tiny tiny strand of thingy just beneath the bubbles??

Its the tails of the fries and its wriggling

Note:

1) Please click on pictures to enlarge it. These fries are really tiny, even with my naked eye I have to stare hard and long to see where they are. Picture quality is the best I tried.. with my Panasonic Digi Cam

2) Please do not be mistaken the yellowish liquid in the tank as dirty mirky water. Its the result of adding a type of leaves which the fishes loved.

FUNNY NO LONGER FUNNY

and he said there is a lot of people, Super crowded.

How can it be ??!

Where did all these crowd come from??

How come others always no need to work or school de meh?!

Im so gonna take pic of that mall tonight

I hope that Tampines will not get more crowded as before

as its absurb as in the whole Singapore is coming to Tampines

We almost feel like moving to Pulau Ubin already

EVENING NEWS UPDATE!

Our hearts skipped a beat when we looked on the eggy gang
this is what we got.

Side view of the nest thats how thick it is.

But apparently this morning,
the nest seems thicker as what i can recalled

Even the eggy gang seems to have reduce in numbers!
Hmm, we both seems to have the same thoughts..

Not a good feeling...

Could it be Curly have eaten some of the eggs??
His tummy seems so bloated.. very suspicious!!

But hope we have maligned Curly
cause he is still working hard blowing the bubbles to keep the eggs up there

HAS THE RECESSION HITS OUR RESTAURANTS?

Today Peng and I went to a local cafe/restaurant
well known for its cheap, not bad and big serving food.
As usual we will order back the same dishes.
It will always look the same if not better than the pictures on the menu.

But today, there is a difference.
Food does not look as appetizing as before
Infact, it does look different from the menu

Has the recession hits our local restaurants?
The portion look as big.. note that i say LOOK AS BIG
yes on the surface maybe
But the thickness of the meat is not the same
its really thinner now.. with thicker layer of batter or chix skin

What happen eh??

Or the standard of their presentation has fallen?
Food just dont look as nice as before.
I hope its just this time.

That its good news and not dead eggs!

The bubbles have grown so much thicker and much bigger

Tonight I shall take another pic sideview of the bubble nest

Curly Ting has so much potential of being a good daddy

Last night, I even saw him sleeping below it

Maybe tonight when I reach home

I will see alot of wriggling tails falling from the eggs

Look at all the white patches among the bubble nest
They are full of eggs

Although the female is such a bitch
but Curly managed to subdue her after all
Hehe... Curly Ting has done us proud!

Now we just pray hard the eggs hatch in 36 hrs
with high survival rate!!

Thrilled...

if we can take Wiskey

As much as I wanted, we couldnt due to a few reasons
we already have 2 dogs at home
without a aircon, its really freaking hot for a husky
by end Dec 09, we would have to move back to my mom place
so we can renovate the current flat.

Im dead sure my parents will faint
if i try to squeeze 2 dogs plus a husky and some other pets
into her 3-room HDB flat.

Maybe, once our reno is done, we can consider the adoption
really wanted a husky very much too!

Therefore we decided to join ASD sponsorship program
so we can sponsor Wiskey
I mean in a way its good since we cant bring him home
we can do something for him.

Well firstly, dont ask me
"Why Wiskey and not some others who are more pitiful?"
Very simple, cuz we just love Wiskey even thou we have not seen him before
Anyway, its always about fate when you are getting a dog
and not how expensive the dog is or the breed.

MY HEART ACHES FOR THEM.....

Whenever I'll pop by any of the website operated by the dog shelters
I will leave the site with a aching heart and teary eyes.

I truly believe
"Mankind is God's worst creation ever! "
without the presence of Human , maybe all the rest of the animal species
would have a better life in this world...

I shall not talk about the dogs in other countries beyond our shores
Let me just show you what some of our fellow S'poreans have done to the local dogs.
Mind you, some of the dogs im referring used to be home pets

The pictures show in my blog are just a small portion
contents might cause discomfort to viewers
but what about the pain and the discomforts these
poor helpless animals felt?!

To be frank, how can anyone abused dogs over such long period of time
yet felt no sense of guilt looking at them in such inhumane states.

got drag under a truck for a few meters and still survive
After the Amputation Op


Kara 6 months old , another victim of a 'hit & run' accident.
removed and left to die among the bushes
Found, with crushed and near severed spine

2 major ops and 9 mths later
Kara never regained the use of her hinds.

when his RICH owner send him to the vet to be euthanize.
Just because he had skin prob which were not properly care for

3 years later, Wiskey is waiting to be adopted

Shelia left to starve to death when the owners
moved away 6 mths ago w/o her

This is how 'BIG' shelia should have look like for her size

Not all the abandoned or strays rescued by the shelters survived.
Some have die shortly after the rescues
even the medical treatment couldn't save their life.

Those who have intentions in getting to get a dog for companionship
Please be prepared for caring a dog for up to 15years or more
Do not buy on impulse and end up abandoning them
as commitment are more than what you have expected.

Please bear in mind
A dog might not be your one and only love of a lifetime
but you are their one and only love in their lifetime

Chanced upon this blog on Puppy Mills Link Exchange Program

Blog owner was trying to help raise awareness against Puppy Mills

Being a dog & animal lover myself, I must do part in helping
so even if my link is not being exchanged in the process, its OKAY!

I called out to all the dogs owner worldwide
especially fellow Singaporeans

Lets all do our part and help a difference by helping to spread

I believe many of you do heard of puppy mills in S'pore
but have you actually seen one?

Just make a trip down to Pasir Ris Farmway 2 and see for yourself.

Check out all those small individual kennels ,
puppies on sale are not in the most favourable living conditions
and you imagine what state their parents will be in?

More than often, breeding parents are isolated in the side or black lane,
wet and dirty , locked up in small crampy cages.

If you deem yourself as a dog lover, you definitely wouldnt like what you see
and much less buying a puppy there.

Many of us are perhaps ignorance and guilty of patronising a puppy mills
including myself
(went to puppy mill looking for my 1st dog then but didnt buy as I was disgusted
with the way they care for the dogs)

We have all sinned once and lets not continue
do not support these puppy mills anymore!

These business owner have no real regards for dogs like us,
their main purpose in breeding dogs are nothing more than profit itself.

Treating dogs as commodities and breeding machine to generate profit while
not providing adequate care for these breeding dogs.

Once these dogs have outlived their purpose, sick and old
they are left to starve to death

Picture speaks a thousand words. Look at these poor dogs
They are the parents of the cute puppies you brought home from this mills.

Yes, no doubts... these are dogs being rescued from SINGAPORE PUPPY MILLS
and they formed only a small portion.
There are still hundred & thousands of poor dogs suffering out there.
For each puppy you buy from the mill, there will be another 1 suffering or dead.

The following picture maybe not be a pleasant view to some
but its a reality which all must know
please do not chose to ignore it anymore

There is 1 thing I realised while doing this post.
Alots of info/pictures about puppy mills in foreign country are easily available
but not so for the ones in S'pore.

while the 2 KUKUs which are Gwen and Me , just keep staring at her..

So Malu ok.... cuz both of us keep thinking the 10 days free supply
would mean either everything on the showcase or at least a full trial kit
which would have include cleanser, toner, moisturiser and
the pore minimiser which was already in our hands

So then Gwen ask.. "Erm.. then anything else?"
The staff looked puzzled and reply "Nope"
I still ask her "So thats ALL?
Her reply was "Yes...??"

SINGAPORE CASINO AND ITS EXCLUSION ORDER

Was chilling out with some friends at a cafe this evening during our casual chit chat, a interesting topic arises
A friend was pretty much interested in patronizing a casino frequently
hence we are discussing if a exclusion order can be imposed on him by his wife-to-be.

To my surprise, he told me "NO" if he did not agree to the exclusion
personally the order will not be imposed even if family members insisted.

WHY NOT??

His VERSION of research on family exclusion (as much as i can remember, cuz its so complicated):
1) Family member apply for exclusion order
2) Assessment to be made based on Counseling sessions for both family and gambler in person
3) 28 days later, family and gambler will be counselled again to confirm
their actions for exclusion
4) Gambler will have to acknowleged and agreed personally for the Order to take place
5) The Exclusion Order will be valid for 2 years, and Gambler can request for it to be revoke.

Fucking Hell! Make the whole procedure so difficult and complicated in order for exclusion to impose, worse of all, the gambler will have to agree willingly if not the exclusion will not be imposed!

What is the use of application then? Make life difficult for the family or to allow gamblers easy access to the casino? In the 1st place, if compulsive gamblers know they have a problem themselves, family members will not have to go through all the trouble to apply for exclusion right? Stupid fucking policy.. make no sense

Worse, say if the application was made against someone who have a potential to be a complusive gambler but yet to have a bad record. It will not be enforced as long as that person has a stable job and no gambling debts to start with.
Then what, must wait until that person starts and become a compulsive gambler, become abusive and almost turning into a bankrupt before he/she qualifies?

With doubts, I decided to google for more info..and what he explains was true..
which i think was ridiculous!

Why would a compulsive gambler agreed to a exclusion order order willing?
In that sense, isnt it redundant for the family member to apply for it in the 1st place?!

These were what i found while googling:
1)To banned an individual from casino entry, the family member
have to file a application with Tanjong Pager Family Service Center (FSC).
2) FSC will arrange a counselling session with the family members and the problem gambler.
3) Upon reviewing the case, it will looked into by a Committee of
Assessors (COA) if its passed through.
4) The application can still be passed even if the Problem Gambler
refused to attend the counselling as long as the family member provide
valid ground and cause of the gambling problem.

At this moment, everything seems normal UNTIL the next step!
5) A PROBLEM GAMBLER CAN APPEAL AGAINST THE EXCLUSION ORDER

Can someone please enlighten me... what the FUCK is the Exclusion Order for??
In the name of society welfare and commitment to responsible gambling, EXCLUSION ORDER was introduced, but with so many grey areas..

I cant help to wonder, is this order really helping the Family concerned to end their suffering or giving more excuses for compulsive gamblers to continue gambling? Because to them, even the professional thinks their gambling habits is not so serious till the extend that they require restriction legally, so its okay to continue!

Isnt it so contradicting? If a compulsive gambler is aware of his/her gambling habits and the impact it brings , then he would have apply for self-exclusion to the casino. Otherwise it only make sense for his own family to ban his/her access to the casino.

Obviously when we say problem/compulsive gambler, I would actually classified that person as addicted to gambling and highly possible of having psychological problem. They cannot control/restrict themselves against any form of gambling. Just the same reason why you would locked a drug addict in confinement! So who in the right mind will signed him/herself off from casino entry? CRAP!

Then again, there is this S$100 entry fee imposed on S'porean, purpose is to deter locals from gambling.

Please lah, go and think lor.... If a compulsive gambler can choke up ten/hundreds thousands of debts , what is S$100 to them??

If they go all the way to Genting just to quench their thirst of gamble, it will have cost like S$150 at least for a 3days 2 night trip already. So what is $100, compare to the transport and accomodation they have to pay in Genting, its already a savings! Especially when they would have two casino to choose from..

Then on SANDS webby, there is a page on 'Reponsible Gambling'.
Its purpose is to serves as a commitment to their Guest on 'How to Identify a Problem Gambler'... blah blah and professional help is available... blah blah.

So means what,
Say if the casino management and staffs have noticed 1 of their guest
gambling more than 12hrs a day and persistently for days/weeks/month
and show signs as a Problem Gambler.
Will Sands send this particular guest to counseling and ban him/her from casino entry??!

I guess NOT IMPOSSIBLE right?

Therefore, the whole Idea and talk of helping the society from problem gambling is just a whole load of bullcrap to me because it just doesnt make sense.
With so much grey areas and allowances, who are you really trying to help or should i say will it resolve the problem for Problem Gamblers and their family ultimately?!

IF whatI have interpret is wrong somewhere, can somebody out there enlighten me pls!
