Last night we were having a discussion over ShuFen's post

I think Chivalry is dying!
Recently I have been hearing and seeing too much
about Singaporean Men and their notorious deeds.
Im not saying all our SG men are unrefined
MAYBE there are still a handful of goody nice guys which i shall
perhaps label them as dinosaurs.. as they are going into extinction soon!!

Please reflect upon your own behaviour when you read the following.
If you are NOT guilty of the following .. GOOD, keep up the good behaviour
you belong to the 'Dino catergory' and should be damn proud of yourself!

Senario #1
Sometime back, emma have a guys night out at a local club
get to know some sg guys through his colleague
when he came back... he was basically ranting %%$#@$ nonstop
He as a MAN was totally disgusted with the 2 assholes he met for the night.
These two assholes paid entry fee into the club
looking for FREE SEX + FREE DRINK
Ok.. free sex maybe i shall define that as "ONE NIGHT STAND"
perhaps that is why its free sex.. FREE for ALL!
But hello.. free drinks?? WTH!
The two little boys went round table to table
chatting up the ladies beside the motive for hooking up late night activity
he was asking for free drinks
He actually went right out and ask the ladies to buy them drinks!
OMG.... thick-skin jerks
Emma heard them asking.. he almost spit out the beer he was drinking.
to think they even have the guts to brat happily!
Arh.. so happy hor.. go clubbing only spend $15 bucks and
you get so much fun!!
p/s: dont come shoot me with -> your emma not s'porean meh?!
Yeah .. he is not!
p/p/s: perhaps i didnt mentioned... I have seen some asking for free ciggs!

Shu Fen's good friend who is a guy have ask her out late at night
but somehow did not offer to walk her home..
yeah you can say its not a big deal.
but the big issue here is
Local men only bother to fulfill their gentlement duties
towards the girls they have interest in
which is sad to say....ONLY during the courtship period
if the girl reject his advances
that is... i think they dont even bother to hold the lift for you
hmm, why so calculative ar??
isnt gentlemen behaviour is a part of your life?
shouldnt all men behave as a gentlemen??
Maybe lah.. still boys... haven learn their manners yet..

Senario # 3
This is a personal encounter... numerous time.
Seems like some guys are rather afraid they be taken advantage of
or maybe the ladies in my group are too MANLY!
When its time to pay the bills.. we see the following
A) Look at us when waiter hands over the bills
B) taking forever to retrieve their wallet from their Mega deep pocket
perhaps the wallet is lost in the pocket yea?!
C) took out only $20 when the bill is $80 for 4 pax
D) pretend not to notice the bill
(helo, we didnt say we wont pay you back.. why so scare?)
Most of the time, the ladies in my groups will swipe out their wallet
and cards to foot the bills instead.
Then there is a few occassion, the boys 'forgotten' to pay his own share
or if he is the one who pay.. he probably tell you how much to pay
hmm..dont you see we are giving you a chance
to present yourself as a MAN so we let you foot the bill
and pay you back later on?

the boy asked his GF to pay him half of whatever he had paid for the day
such as lunch, dinner, movies, drinks etc
Ask the GF out for late night movie near his place
so he can save the transport home.
Poor GF got to take a cab back.. he say he pay..
but only give her $5, cause that is the maximum he can pay
The cab fare will be at least $20.

Meet GF at a hotel for some hanky panky action
when its time to check out.. oops
forgot to bring wallet or not enough cash
Hooray!! GF foot the room charges yet again..

GF bump into a crazy man in the supermarket
freak the shit out of her.. just when she need someone to protect her
boyfriend is now more concern in choosing his food
and nowhere to be found
When she finally found him and told him what happen.
He laughs!
The GF told me...
"Just when i need a MAN, i cant find one, because all i have is a BOYfriend!"
Oh no... when will the BOY grows into a MAN?

when it time to get married.
both party started saving for the wedding and the house
MUST be 50% each
but the boy is acting like MCP(male chauvinist pig)
like he own the house, and he pay 100% for everything
and yeah right he own the wife-to be too
So wifey cannot NOT work, bring home the dough, do the housework,
cook for you , bear you some offsprings and listen to what you have to say!
Oh great!, why dont you marry your maid?!
Oh yes... maid cant bring home as much money as we do..i've forgotten.

My friend K.C. did Scenario #5. I hope we're not referring to the same person lol.
As for Scenario #1, call me new fashioned but when a girl buys me a drink I don't reject it - that's rude. I never ask for drinks though.
However I see nothing wrong with guys asking girls for drinks. It's the 21st century, and I'm all for gender equality :D
Splendid Post^^ As I'm standing in women side of thinking, really I think men nowadays is getting worse. I'm not commenting on myself, at least I'm not the bad one as mention in scenarios above^^ I always blive that friends is our mirror, n always correct our mistake if they were truly friends. If I got time and still remember, I will write a post about this and provide a link to here. Now I'm hving exam, only will ends at 3 weeks time. Crying without tears, lol

As for Scenario #1, I agree if gals buy you drinks, its okay to accept vs versus.
However, gals now dont even go asking for drinks. We pay our own.. Therefore talking about gender equality , any party shouldnt try to take advantage of anyone.
But its funny though.. why should i be buying a guy drinks? If anyone can come walking into the club..
they should have they mentality to pay! LOL... agrees?

This applies to both gender and yes Males or rather boys are behaving worse.. take advantages, turn around and ACT like a MAN!
